Do not think I’ll see it in my lifetime, but it is my firm belief that unless we collectively lose our apathy, which I feel is the worst disease on our planet, and become one people - one race, one planet - we’ve got bigger problems than they ever had in River City.
It’ll have to be up to people like Sabina, Courtney and Dawn (you know who you are, Princess, Peer Mediator and Twinkle-toes) and their peer group to try and straighten out the mess we’ve made so far. We talk about Peace on Earth, and then we allow our world leaders to enjoin us in wars.
Shortly after carving the original wax for the Peace Star™ in my Jewish Heirlooms collection, I wrote:

As children of G-d there is no dogmatic trace
We try to see the light of G-d in every face in Mosques, Cathedrals and synagogues Wherever we may lift our cry to G-d
We join the wise ones following a star
We seek to understand what Moses taught
We respect what wise Confucius had to say
So whatever the chosen path may be
